4. Product claims, safety and compliance

The Electric Gear Shark is a battery-operated children's toy intended for entertainment. Claims on our pages are limited to the product's physical features — walking mechanism, transparent gear housing, LED lighting and sound. We make no medical, therapeutic, developmental or educational-outcome claims of any kind, and no claim that the product diagnoses, treats or alleviates any condition.

• Recommended for ages 3 and over, with adult supervision.
• Contains small parts and moving gears — a choking and pinch hazard for children under 3.
• Requires 3 x AA batteries (not included); batteries must be inserted by an adult and removed when the toy is stored for long periods. Never mix old and new or different battery types, and never recharge non-rechargeable cells.
• Not intended as a bath or swimming toy unless the packaging expressly states it is water-resistant.
• Toys placed on the UK market must carry UKCA (and where applicable CE) marking under the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.
